Well, as much as I dislike them, the spider pic is my favorite. The side lighting adds a very dramatic effect with the lengthened shadow. Nice work on the timing, getting it as it reared up like that.
This is a good study in lighting and its effect. While I was aiming at a study of the same object - these photos clearly show what happens as the light moves around objects. Good idea to combine the photos to a mosaic...gotta love picassa
